Atari Australia is one of the leading publishers and distributors of interactive entertainment software in Australia and New Zealand, publishing titles across all current gaming platforms. The Australian office for Atari is responsible for sales, marketing/public relations, customer service/support and distribution of Atari and associated third party titles throughout the region.
Atari Australia has a wide and diverse catalogue of titles and has published some of the interactive industries' most high profile titles including Alone in the Dark, Civilization, Driver, Unreal Tournament, Test Drive, Neverwinter Nights, Transformers, Enter The Matrix and V-Rally.
In addition to publishing and distributing internally developed titles, Atari Australia distributes titles in Australia and New Zealand for Codemasters, SCi, Konami, and Eidos Interactive. This has included high profile games such as:

6 May 1992 Sega Ozisoft Pty Ltd established
31 March 1998 Name changed to Ozisoft Pty Limited
15 December 1998 - Infogrames Entertainment SA acquired majority shareholding in OziSoft Pty Ltd OziSoft becomes Infogrames Australia Pty Ltd
15 April 2002 Infogrames Entertainment SA acquires 100% ownership of Infogrames Australia Pty Ltd
8 May 2003 Infogrames Australia Pty Ltd changes its name to Atari Australia Pty Ltd
A Brief History of Atari:-
June 27, 1972 - Atari is officially incorporated
November 1972 - Atari ships PONG.
1976 - Warner Communications buys Atari for $28 million.
1979 - Atari releases ASTEROIDS for the arcade.
1980 - Atari releases a home version of SPACE INVADERS.
1981 - Atari releases a home version of ASTEROIDS.
1982 - Atari licenses PAC MAN and positions it to be Atari's mascot and central sales image.
1984 - Warner Communications sells its Atari Home Computer and Consumer Electronics divisions to Tramiel Technologies, Ltd. Atari retains a 25% stake in Tramiel Technologies' newly purchased Atari assets. Warner Communications retains the Atari Coin-op Division.
1996 - Atari announces a reverse merger into JTS, a small hard disk maker.
1998 - JTS sells its Atari assets to Hasbro Interactive for $5 million.
1999 - Hasbro Interactive releases a new line of revamped Atari titles: MISSILE COMMAND, PONG, CENTIPEDE, ATARI ARCADE HITS, as well as others.
2000 - Hasbro Interactive is acquired by French video game company Infogrames Entertainment SA (IESA).
2001 - Hasbro Interactive becomes part of and is rebranded Infogrames, Inc., the U.S. arm of IESA.
2002 - Infogrames, Inc., which continues to release and celebrate the classic Atari titles, begins to reintroduce the Atari brand with the release of a new Atari line up, including SPLASHDOWN, TEST DRIVE, and STUNTMAN.
2003 - Infogrames officially rebrands its global operations as Atari. All titles published by the company are now under the Atari brand name. Atari releases the much anticipated ENTER THE MATRIX which sells through more than 3 million units worldwide in less than four months.
